Working CRM Records

YouEx.ai organizes CRM work into four main record types:

  • Leads
  • Contacts
  • Companies
  • Opportunities

Each one serves a different purpose.

Leads

The Leads page is where most early-stage work begins.

Use Leads to:

  • review inbound or newly created records
  • edit core information
  • add notes and custom fields
  • run research or enrichment
  • draft emails
  • convert qualified leads

Typical lead workflow

  1. Open the lead.
  2. Review contact and company details.
  3. Check notes, custom fields, and tags.
  4. Run research or enrichment if needed.
  5. Draft outreach.
  6. Add a CRM Action for the next step.
  7. Convert the lead when it becomes real pipeline.

Contacts

Use Contacts to manage people after they have moved beyond simple lead capture.

Common contact tasks:

  • update contact information
  • link a person to a company
  • review notes and related activity
  • add logged or scheduled CRM Actions

Companies

Use Companies to manage account-level context.

Common company tasks:

  • review account details
  • view related contacts
  • run research or enrichment
  • log activity and follow-up

Opportunities

Use Opportunities for active pipeline and revenue work.

Common opportunity tasks:

  • update stage and probability
  • track amount and close date
  • link the opportunity to a contact and company
  • log meetings, calls, and follow-up actions

Record hygiene tips

Keep records useful by:

  • updating notes when context changes
  • keeping titles and companies accurate
  • removing ambiguity in custom fields
  • logging follow-up work as CRM Actions instead of keeping it private
